Water Truck Tanks

T-Rex Industries have 4 Standard models of tanks ranging from 14000 to 22500 litres. All our tanks are built to withstand the extreme conditions found in today’s mining industry.

Our Standard Spec

Steel Plate: BlueScope xlerplate 6mm Grade 250

Pipe: Schedule 40 seamless Line pipe

Pipe Outlets: All Pipe outlets are roll grooved terminated

Pipe Outlets: All pressure pipe work is 80mmID and pump suction Pipe work is 100mmID

Rear: Left Right Centre outlets halfway up the tank suit for spray heads, pressure dribble bar outlet located bottom centre and left and right gravity spray outlets.

Front: Left and Right outlets located at the near the top of the tank ideal for batter sprays.

Top: one 80mm cannon outlet.

Surface Preparation: Abrasive Blasted inside and out to class 2.5

Paint Internal Basic: Sherwood Paint Industries 2k epoxy 2 Coats

Paint Internal Heavy Duty optional: Juton Paint 2K High Build Epoxy 2 Coat system. (This paint is 100% solids and is designed for use in ship ballast tanks. This coating is about double the thickness of the Sherwood epoxy system.)

Construction: All steel plate is hi definition plasma cut to ensure maximum accuracy and minimal heat distortion, the tank shell is formed using the latest CNC brake press ensuring a smooth finish. All Pipe work is fully fabricated and rotary welded before being fitted inside the tank. All welding is performed by qualified boilermakers trained in Australia. Every seam is 100% welded ensuring there is no place for corrosion to form, the tank is rolled during the welding stage of construction so all welds can be done in the down hand position ensuring maximum penetration and smooth weld finish.

All Fabrication, Welding, Sandblasting, Painting and fit-out is performed in house by our employees so we can keep a good check on quality.
